A care worker puts a spoonful of puréed food to her lips and she eventually opens her mouth and the food is pushed in; then she swallows, often with difficulty. The family argues that she is doing so by reflex; the health-care institution caring for her argues that it is a demonstration of the will to live.away from the school grounds, the field trip day is considered a regular school day and school policies must be followed. Human, environment, nursing: Rogers utilizes the principles of homeo-dynamics for her nursing framework to explain the scientific definition of nursing as a science and also art. Nurses to promote “health and the well-being of individuals for whatever and wherever they are.” (McEwen & Willis, 2014)Assumption: Rogers’ theory considers a human or patient as a whole; each are unique in their own experiences. Humans and their select environments are integral to each other where they are influencing and always evolving.Implications: The human beings theory associates individual experiences of human beings with their surrounding environment and provides philosophical nursing framework that can guide the nursing practices in great detail.Application: Rogers theory teaches healthcare providers on how one should view their incoming patients. The theory suggests that human beings and the environment  they are brought up in are integral to one another and nurses should view their patients as whole. Nurses should consider the full well being of a patient instead of focusing mainly on the medical treatment perspective.
