I did it already but I didn’t do enough and only got 40/100 So the professor told me that what I had was good but that I needed to add onto it PLEASE FOLLOW THE RUBRIC The goal of this report is to become acquainted with our evolving understanding of COVID-19, and the virus that causes it (SARS-CoV-2). There is so much out there to learn, and although we are learning about this virus quite quickly, there is still much that is unknown – we’ve only known of its existence for about a year and a half. To achieve this, we will do the following, 1) Everybody will cover some of the same basic information in their report about COVID-19, Bio 150 – COVID-19 Project (Summer 2021).docx download. —->click for directions and a rubric. 2) Choose a sub-topic: In addition to the general information above, you will also choose a sub-topic to elaborate upon (and after it is due, share with your classmates in our last discussion board assignment). Click here for a discussion board where you will choose your topic (first come, first serve). 3) Grading note: This will be worth 100 points – so make sure to get started! You will have about 2 weeks to complete it. Grading of this assignment will take about 2 weeks. 4) Citations: Note that citations (including in-text citations) *must be included for credit, and non-cited material or material without a proper in-text citation will be considered plagiarism and not receive a grade (see syllabus for details). That said, if it’s been a while since learning citation formatting, make sure to complete the Citations in the Sciences module to learn how to perform citations in science writing. As a side note, you can use APA or MLA formatting for your paper– your choice! 5) Plagiarism review and direct quoting: Just a reminder that reports will undergo plagiarism review online: make sure you have cited your sources properly (see #4 above) and that you avoid using direct quotations. As mentioned in the citations module, you rarely need to use a direct quote in science writing – paraphrase to use only the information needed for your report. You will not do well on this report if you have large or very frequent chunks of directly quoted material, even if it is cited correctly. Paraphrase sources to put your information into context and not give too much or little information about a given topic.
